I hope that you all had a great Thanksgiving and are looking forward to Christmas! I know that 2020 is not the year any of us expected. There have been lots of twists and turns, tough times, and adjusting to a new norm that just doesn't feel normal at all. The Adam Morgan Foundation will be starting a new Technology Education Program - Tech towards Independence with Adults that have disabilities. We have had a huge increase in the need for tablets for adults with disabilities, they are not able to get out into the community or even visit family & friends. FZE 2020 Graduation Day was quite eventful for the Morgans! Adam Morgan woke up early, excited for his big day, and looking forward to delivering his student commencement speech. Unfortunately, life sometimes throws you a curveball. He had a seizure and was unable to attend the ceremony. I gave myself about a 5-minute pity party for us all then had to take a deep breath and plan how to best handle the situation. I made the necessary calls and my amazing daughter, Paige M...organ, stepped up and went with me to the Family Arena to deliver Adam's iPad so his speech could go on as planned. Everyone was so great and accommodating and his speech went off without a hitch. I want to thank Mr. Brian Bishop & Mr. Devlin from FZE as well as the staff at the Family Arena for remaining calm and keeping me calm. Although the day did not go as planned, we chose to make lemonade out of the lemon that was handed to us that morning. I want to thank my awesome husband, Jeff Morgan, for staying home and taking care of the big guy. Also, a big shout out to my Dad and Stepmom for coming all the way from Tennessee to root him on! A big thanks to our sweet daughter, Hailey Morgan, for utilizing her technology talents to put together this great video highlighting the graduation ceremony for her big brother, Adam! Wow, another year has passed me by! I can't believe my birthday is right around the corner! The world is much different this year than last, reminding me of all the things that still need to be done.
