Old Survey of St. Louis, Troy, Hannibal & Keokuk Rail Road. This is what we are retracing in the field.

The Railroad Survey continues. ..standing on one of the 1880's parapets. Enormous!

Very Challenging Survey. Establishing the original Right of Way of the Abandoned CB&Q Rail Road. Constructed about 1880, The Concrete Parapets and Pylons are left spanning the Cuiver River. Now the challenge gets more delicious as a second Abandoned Rail Road (St, Louis, Hannibal, Keokuk) intersects it's way along the west bank of the river. The STL,H&Q, intersects the CB&C at a non Tangent Reverse Spiral Curve.This area is also the location of the "Switch Station" no physical evidence has been found to date. In Short, Two Abandoned Rail Roads and a Riparian Boundary. More to follow: Pics of Pylons and Parapets and a nail in concrete post as "called for" in adjoining deed..

Difficult Boundary Decisions on this survey. So much to absorb.
