Astrology for Tuesday, January 12 A new cycle is starting - the Capricorn New Moon will take place around 6:30 pm. On the new moon, the Moon is conjunct the Su...n. Pluto is also very near the Sun, so this month, Pluto will affect the New Moon's beginning of a Waxing Cycle (a period of growth that lasts about 2 weeks). This New Moon is in the goat-y sign of Capricorn, so ambition and perseverance are part of the equation. In a mundane chart, the Moon signifies the people; the Sun represents the Leader (President). Pluto is about power. Pluto has a ruthless way of showing us the underbelly of everything. The FBI has issued an alert that there will be far right protests of President-Elect Biden's inauguration in every state starting later this week through Inauguration Day. That jibes with astrology. Uranus in Taurus will station and return to direct motion - liberated, as it were, on Thursday, January 14. Uranus has been retrograde since mid August. Mars in Taurus and the dwarf planet Eris is squaring the Moon, Sun and Pluto in Capricorn. Part of this new moon energy will be used to act repressively and violently. With Uranus in Taurus square Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius, there are a lot of individuals insisting on their right to be "free" even if their freedom means repression to others.

Astrotweet: Mercury conjunct Jupiter, Mercury sextile Chiron, Jupiter sextile Chiron. Feel gentle rocking of a sweet symmetrical cradle pattern with lots of healing going on inside. Time to hunker down, take special care of ourselves, and tune in to our sublime, creative minds!

ASTROLOGY FOR MONDAY, JANUARY 11 I've used an image of Krystellnacht - the night of broken glass. That date and the beer hall putsch of Hitler's party, have ee...rie overtones of the choreographed assault on democracy last Wednesday. It was the best of times (for some); it was the worst of times (for many). Some leadership is feeling very good about the chaos that enveloped the nation's Capitol last week. The "old boy" or "old girl" network is in play, and there is a feeling that things are being done as they have always been done. In fact, despite the insurrection at the Capitol, the head of the GOP has been reaffirmed and Trump will remain an influential, if not THE influential centerpiece of that party. On the other hand, the Sun in Capricorn (the leader) has drawn very close to Pluto in Capricorn, indicating a desire for power and control on the part of the Leader. The Leader will not be happy as the Left (Jupiter/Saturn in Aquarius) square off with some revolutionary insights (Uranus in Taurus). Whether it is a changing administration (Jupiter/Saturn in Freedom loving Aquarius) or a move toward autocracy, the status quo is changing. So the self congratulatory stance some members are taking is premature. We are in a transition phase of a new cycle. A revolution in ideas may be accompanied by resistance to those ideas. We probably will not see a violent response until January 14 - 17. As it is unlikely the President's cabinet will invoke the 25th amendment, the House Democrats may impeach the President for a second time. While that leaves him fee to incite trouble, a conviction after the Inauguration would make it impossible for him to run for office, under the current laws.

Astrotweet: Dwarf planet Eris, goddess of chaos and discontent, stations direct at 23 Aries. Truth erupts. Mercury-Neptune semi-square, Moon-Neptune square, Moon-Mercury semi-square stir things up early today. Check Saturn, Mercury, Jupiter at western horizon right after sunset!

Astrology for Sunday, January 10 Old points of view, habitual prejudices are mistaken for reality as the Moon in Sagittarius conjuncts the South Node of the Moo...n, square Neptune in Pisces. While we could all use a little daydreaming and escape from our normal lives, in less stable persons, it may erupt into full blown fantastic misinterpretation based on feelings, not logic. It is hard to interpret what is being seen directly. On January 14, the planet Uranus, which rules revolution and individuation, will go direct in motion for the first time since mid August, 2020. Uranus is associated with freedom, and with resumption of direct motion, is free to act. At the same time, the planet Mars, associated with war, anger and violence, is growing ever closer to Uranus, their conjunction coming to exact on Inauguration Day. As you may have guessed from the shots of mobs in the Capitol, it is not an auspicious conjunction for the Inauguration. Jupiter and Saturn in Aquarius are drawing closer to a square, or tense conflict, with Mars/Uranus in Taurus. Aquarius is associated with democracy. The square aspect shows democracy in conflict with the violence of the Mars/Uranus conjunction in Taurus. Chaos and violence. Everything Trump said about America in his inauguration speech, has come to fruition. There are a number of factors that make me think this violence is going to ripen again around January 14 and again around January 20. If there are no or few consequences to those involved, including our Inciter-in-Chief, there is little incentive NOT to do this on a grander, more violent scale. The chatter on the social media platform Parler, which was used to organize the first mob, has made the owners decide to remove it from download on the app store. It may be a case of too little, too late.

Astrotweet: Mars, Warrior God, standing still, turns direct today. He is energy of force, awakens our passions, stirs it up, and advises face it head on. Time for heroic deeds and bold action. We fight for what matters, strengthen our characters, and initiate new game plans!

Astrology for Thursday, November 12 The aspect that has hung over this wild ride of a year is Jupiter/Pluto/Saturn in Capricorn. That point in Capricorn is squ...are the Moon and Venus in Libra today and Eris in Aries. The missing Cardinal point is this line up is Cancer, and Cancer will therefore point to a resolution of the conflict it implies. The sabian symbol for 22 degrees Cancer is "A Woman Awaits a Sailboat" and for 23 Cancer "A meeting of a literary society." Both make me laugh. We are certainly waiting, waiting, waiting for our ship to come in and a decision to dock at our pier! Small groups are counting votes! Shape shifting Neptune in Pisces is inconjunct Venus and the Moon. Not everything is as it appears to be. Deception is in the air. If this is affecting you personally, trust your intuition more than your logic, but keep an eagle eye out that you are not being duped by someone's behavior. This is true on a national level, too. The confusion about who won the election is a deception. It is an effort to delegitimize a democratic institution - the vote.

Astrotweet: We open our eyes to magic numbers on 11-11-2020 to a mindfulness portal. A Finger of God aligned at 20-22 brings Sun, Moon’s Nodes, and Pallas, Jupiter, Pluto together to show us a new frontier over next 2 days. 2 is a supremely feminine force of truth and learning!

Astrology for Wednesday, November 11 Wednesday, November 11, is Veteran's Day, a day to celebrate our country and those who have fought for it. Instead of bein...g focused on overcoming odds for a democratic ideal, we are debating whether or not the electorate has spoken in the last election or if the election has been "stolen." On behalf of the poll workers and the voters who turned out despite the risk of a deadly pandemic, I am so sorry that your voice has not been taken seriously and that your integrity is being questioned. On a day like today, this ambivalence should be reflected in the chart of the sky - and it is. On the one hand, there is a trine between the Sun In Scorpio, Neptune in Pisces and a sextile from those two planets to the conservative Jupiter/Pluto/Saturn in Capricorn. The harmony of a trine that includes water element and the planet of illusion/delusion, Neptune, can, for some, foster delusionary thinking. Conspiracy theories thrive in this environment. In the opposite camp, there is a hard aspect between Venus in Libra, Mars in Aries and the conservative power planets, Jupiter/Pluto and Saturn in Capricorn. Those who want fairness and justice see these fantasies as undermining democracy, and they are angry about it. The thing to watch in the next few days: Mercury (journalists, media, communicators) in Libra (fairness, social justice) is opposed to Uranus in Taurus - unexpected and sometimes wild accusations. GOP Senators may choose to foster these baseless accusations, but meanwhile there is no move to enact another stimulus package or halt the mind-numbing number of new COVID cases that are beginning to overwhelm hospitals everywhere. Watch the journalists to see what they say . Logic, reason, facts and fairness may be on their side. One note: GOP contributions for the recount effort may be used to pay down campaign debt. Is this really what is behind all this? Or is it a scorched earth policy the Trump administration wants to leave behind? In any case, delaying results just means less effort is going toward COVID cases and a stimulus effort. It does nothing for our world wide reputation, either.
