Armadillos are becoming more and more of a problem. Since it is so dry now these usually nocturnal animals can be seen during daylight hours foraging. This was the second one I saw during the day on Sunday. If you are noticing a lot of small cone shaped holes dug in your yard every night you may have armadillos
This is one of the two cooper heads I removed from a yard in Columbia. These snakes were living under a settled concrete slab behind someone's house. They were sunning them selves in the bushes. So be careful when working in the flower beds
I found these little guys all cuddled up in a attic in Columbia today. Raccoons commonly have young in attics and chimneys this time of year. We have a little trick we use to get momma to move her babies out to make sure they have the best chance of survival.
Knock knock. Who is there?? This Columbia home owner had a bit of a surprise at their front door. Black rat snakes are great climbers. This one was just showing off!!
A All Animal Control not only traps animals and repairs the damage, but cleans up the mess they make. This attic in central Columbia was home to several raccoons and squirrels. The raccoons decided to make a bathroom next to the chimney along with a few other spots in the attic. I spent several long days sucking out all the contaminated insulation in the attic.
Moles Moles and more Moles!! Now that the ground has thawed out moles are tunneling like crazy. I set this yard in Columbia today and had this mole before I left the yard. If you are having mole problems now is the time to take care of it before they destroy the yard
I had to go "wild man" This morning. I removed a squirrel that had fallen down the chimney of this Jefferson City home owner.
I did an inspection for something in the attic today. Once I walked up to the house it was pretty easy to tell what was going on. The squirrels are jumping off the limb and running across to the roofline where they have chewed a hole through the soffit.
Happy Groundhogs Day!! I had a client give me this pic of a groundhog sunning itself on top of the trap.
I Just returned from the 2015 A All Animal Conference in Houston Texas. It was a fun filled few days of training and networking with other wildlife professionals and industry vendors
Even though it's the middle of winter and the ground is frozen. Moles are still active. With the warmer weather and breeding season approaching moles will be incredibly active when the ground thaws this weekend. They will return to surface tunnels and continue to build mounds. This is a great time to trap them before they breed and there are that many more to catch.
Happy Mole Day!!

Merry Christmas. If you are still hearing a noise in the chimney. It's probably not Santa. It might be a raccoon
Not a good day for the mole mobile. One blown turbo. Ouch!
