Make sure to head out to Proctor Park to see over 50 lighted decorations sponsored by areas businesses and organizations.

The California Area Chamber of Commerce is sponsoring "Christmas California Style"is being held today in our town of California, Mo. Businesses will be holding various in-store specials and activities for your shopping pleasure. Please shop local or come visit our town and take a look. The Christmas Parade will be held this evening with line-up at 4 pm on Stella St. in front of the City Pool. Just show up with a lighted entry and we will find a spot for you! No live Santa's o...n entries as Santa & Mrs. Claus will be there all the way from the North Pole! Due to Covid, we are discouraging handing out candy or treats. The parade winds through town traveling up Stella to Owen, Smith to Oak, South to High Street and ends at the Courthouse. Get out and enjoy the fun! After the parade, travel out to the awesome "Christmas in Proctor Park" where you can view over 50 lighted displays provided by our local businesses, churches, and organizations. This is a "free" event your family can enjoy from December 5th through December 31st. The City Departments of California have decorated our town in the spirit of the holiday season and we are grateful for their hard work. Today's events, sponsored by the Chamber, are intended to provide family enjoyment for our community. Merry Christmas!

Reminder: the annual Christmas Parade is this Saturday! Anyone can enter into the parade! Line up is at 4 with the parade beginning at 5. Line up is at the city pool. All entries must be lit. Please no live Santa’s. The chamber provides Santa and Mrs Claus at the end of the parade. For safety concerns, please no throwing candy.
