Press Release 12/2/2020 At 6:18pm on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, an officer from the Carl Junction Police Department responded to a vehicle vs. bicycle crash at the intersection of Ashmore St. & Pennell St. in Carl Junction. After an investigation was initiated it was found that a westbound vehicle struck a bicycle that was traveling eastbound in the westbound lane near the shoulder of the roadway. The bicyclist, a 14-year-old Carl Junction resident, received critical injuries... and was transported to an area hospital. The driver of the vehicle was not injured. The investigation is ongoing; therefore, names of the involved parties will not be released at this time. Chief Delmar Haase This post is for public information. We’ve received multiple reports of this individual going through neighborhoods in the Briarbrook area attempting to break into vehicles around 1:00-4:00am. If you have any information about this individual please give us a call at 417-649-7070. Also, please consider this another reminder to remove valuables from vehicles and lock them up!
