Today's service is led by Reverend Winckler and his sermon title is Sacred Poise. It has been a heck of a week, to say the least. While we wait for definitive results of this year’s presidential election, as people of faith how do we cultivate a sense of sacred poise? In other words, how do we stay spiritually replenished, vigilant, and prepared to share the light of Christ in an uncertain and contentious time? Let’s explore that this week in a sermon called, Sacred Poise. The opening hymn words date from 1902 and the closing spiritual hymn was first published in 1872. The Pandemic Singers present an anthem by American composer Charles Callahan. Tenor Derek Dahlke sings an offertory solo with music from 1664. The organ prelude and postlude were written in 1957 by the blind French organist Jean Langlais.
