Mad or Glad Mean or Kind Snappy or Patient These are just a few of the attitudes we experience every day and you get to decide which one you will respond with. When mom says go clean your room or someone calls you a name at school you can decide to respond in a positive way or a negative way. If you think about it I am sure you can think of a time you responded in a negative way. Do you think it helped the situation get better? I bet your answer is no. There is never a time that a negative attitude makes a situation better. Now think about a time you really didn’t like or what to do something but you decided to respond in a positive way. Did your good attitude make the situation better or worse?. I bet this time you said yes. It may not of keeping you from having to do something like cleaning your room or keeping someone from calling you a mean name but I bet you ended up feeling better when it was all over with. God teaches us that a good attitude can help make any situation better. A good attitude not only helps your heart to be happy it helps others too. For example, when mom says go clean your room and you respond ok mom and you actually go and do it I bet your mom would have the biggest smile on her face. If someone who has been mean to you suddenly dropped their books and you stopped and helped pick them up for them they may wonder why you are being so nice. When we chose to be kind, or patient with others we are responding the way God has shown us in the bible. Philippians 2:5 says, Have this attitude in yourselves which was also in Christ Jesus, When we have the attitude of Jesus we helping others see who Jesus is. You can make the world a better place with one good attitude at a time.
