The crews also started annual hose testing this month to make sure the hoses used withstand the pressures needed to respond to the fire need of our community! The 2020 Missouri State Fire Marshal 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb, held October ...10, is a way to honor and remember the FDNY, NYPD, Port Authority Police (PAPD) and EMS who selflessly gave their lives so that others might live on 9-11-2001. Each participant pays tribute to an FDNY firefighter, NYPD, PAPD and EMS by climbing the equivalent of the 110 stories of the World Trade Center. Your individual tribute not only remembers the sacrifice of an FDNY brother, but symbolically completes their heroic journey to save others. Through firefighter and community participation we can ensure that each of the 343 firefighters is honored and that the world knows that we will never forget. Cole County Fire Protection District received a grant check from Phillips 66 Pipeline in the amount of $30,000.00. The grant money was used to buy a 35KW generator which is shown in the back round. The Fire District is extremely grateful to these two organizations for helping the Fire District obtain much needed equipment to keep fire operations functioning during a disaster.
