Baby Koala or cutie pie Zoee? You decide!!! Isn't she the most darling! She came to live at the sanctuary when her mom passed away from covid. Her mom had chosen the sanctuary for Zoee. This little fuzzball has fit into the "Woof-Pack" perfectly and has already claimed her space on the bed!... Don't let her size fool you she is tiny but mighty and would scare away any intruder with her adorable bark! Or so she thinks! She spends all day running and barking trying to keep up with the Danes. This little girl sure needs her beauty sleep! Sweet dreams...

Remember Bruno... found lost in the middle of the highway last week? He is here and resting. Sleep is the most healing thing we can give him right now. We have started him on antibiotics, deworming, and good nutritional meals to build up his strength. He is sweet as they come and such a gentle little soul. He is completely blind and deaf but that doesn't stop him from knowing when dinner is served or finding the comfiest spot to nap. He is almost done with his antibiotics a...nd then he gets to meet his new "Woof-Pack" family. Bruno is a slow moving old fella, so he will fit right in.

This brindle beauty is Princess Lily! She came to the sanctuary with her Boxer brother Diesel and her sister Hope! All three are darling sweethearts! Their sweet elderly mama had passed away and they were needing a soft place to land. Their mama had taken them in when her friend had passed away from cancer. They were rescued twice and loved even more. Princess Lily is suffering her fair share of medical issues. Unfortunately, she has an aggressive cancer. She has a mass on ...her foot, rear end, and toes that can not be operated on or removed. All we can do is love her TREMENDOUSLY and offer her palliative care for as long as she has left. Making sure she is comfortable and not in pain. Princess Lily is a true hero in our eyes. She has loved both her owners relentlessly, loves her brother D, her sister Hope, and all her new family at the sanctuary. She never complains. She always wants attention, snuggles, treats, and soft places to nap. She has the cutest Boxer mouth and smooshy lips! She adjusted amazingly for her age and condition. We couldn't be more proud of this beautiful heart. She just never gives up. After a nap she is ready to be part of the gang and in the middle of it all. Lily is love and pure sweetness. We will do everything to keep her comfy and well!

Good afternoon, world! Toby sure knows how to enjoy his day. Right back in a cozy bed, of course! Toby loves to snuggle and he's not afraid to tell you! Our little guy has been working on his horrendous skin, ear, and eye infections the past several months. He was severely neglected/ abused and had lived outside for a long time. His skin was so black and leathery, eyes matted shut. His little heart so broken. Toby will always have to be on a significant amount of medication... which is very costly but he is night and day different from when he first arrived to us. We are so proud of how patient he is letting us give him medicated baths as well as ear and eye treatments. Toby is a very sweet soul. He has lost more of his eye sight recently but he always knows where his mom (Valerie) or food is at! Toby's heart is at peace, his body is healing, and his mind is whole. He knows he is worthy of love and care. We you Tobbers!

Sabongee is a fella that everyone wants to be friends with. He is the life of the party and has a super sweet, loving soul. He adores food and attention! He throws the funniest little fits to get his way, call them his meatball fits!! Sabongee came to us not too long ago after his Dad went in hospice care. His wish was that his sweet boy be taken care of in his absence. All of us (and I mean ALL of us) absolutely adore Sabongee. He blended into the sanctuary family effortle...ssly and started running with the "Woof-Pack" immediately. Sabongee was shaved down right after he came. His care had been pushed to the side as his owner became so ill. Understandably so, we set forth to make him comfy and get rid of all the matts that so tightly pulled at his skin. We found masses underneath all that fur blisters, boils, and skin that was in very poor condition. The condition of some of the masses concerned us and he was taken in for bloodwork, xrays, ultrasound, and a full exam. Unfortunately it was discovered that Sabongee is full of cancer. His liver and spleen is completely diseased with masses. His abdomen is full of cancer, externally the cancer has spread and now is showing on his skin as well as a large mass on his knee. In life it's hard to understand why these things happen and we absolutely feel this way for Sabongee. He has already been through so much and is a sweethearted soul. The cancer has spread rigorously and we don't know how long he has had it considering the circumstances. His heart is so happy and his sweet eyes shine he doesn't let on that anything is wrong. Sabongee is beyond treatment. The cancer has spread through his lymph system and all his organs. All we can do is offer comfort and ALL the love in the world. He is receiving a mixture of pain meds to keep him comfortable as well as an anxiety med. He loves his life here and we know his Dad would be so very proud of how he has acclimated. Sabongee is love. He loves life.

Our life of the party Hector is taking a break tonight. Our sweet boy had a dental this morning. He only had 10 teeth removed but they were pretty gnarly and infected. Hector decided sleeping was in his best interest as he can barely lift his head. Pain meds, antibiotics, and sleep will get this handsome hunk feeling like new again! He did great during his surgery and is being pampered. Sweet dreams Hector, you will feel better in the morning

Tiny Ralphie is keeping watch over his family. He may not be able to see them but he can sense they are there! He is spunky and fun! Ralph loves to be held and carried around just like Peanut! Who doesn't like to be chauffeured everywhere!? Ralphie is in heart failure and has started medications to bring him comfort but he is not letting that stop him. He still walks around and thinks he is in charge! ... Such a snuggle baby!

Sweet Alice is part of the (6) Feist sibling group that arrived on Friday. We believe Alice is probably the runt of the litter as she is the tiniest of all, but oh so darling and loving! Jimmy and Jewel (mom) are also opening up. They are getting used to their surroundings and everyone. Myrtis and Peggy Sue are trying to take Alice's lead but they are a little more shy but already showing improvement. ... Clementine needs her space and is taking it one day at a time. We want her to feel safe, we think she must have been her hoomans favorite as her heart is a little sad. Completely understandable. One day at a time and love from her siblings will show her she is safe. Alice has the most beautiful heart and she will lead the way for them all

Nova is nothing less than darling. She is so sweet and just wants to be with someone at all times. She does have extreme canine cognitive disfunction. Her dementia is very progressed. Her mind does not allow her body to rest and recharge. If you hold her she instantly falls asleep in your arms. We have been giving her melatonin which allows for some peacefulness. She also started pain management to help with her arthritis. Otherwise she is eating great and has the most gent...le heart. She made herself right at home. She is even using Rosie as a pillow for her nap! Nova wishes you a great day!
