Last month, Washington State Park welcomed a very special visitor! Rick Thum, award-winning dulcimer extraordinaire spent a few days camping and exploring the park. He shared his talent with an impromptu concert at the host site and allowed us to take pictures of his vintage travel trailer and truck! Check out the photos below. For more information on Rick, visit https://www.rthum.com/.

In May of 2017, the historic Thunderbird Lodge at Washington State Park was inundated with water during historic flooding. This building was used as a base of o...perations for cabin and watercraft rentals, convenience item sales, and laundry facilities for the cabin operations. Renovation and restoration work of the building was completed this past spring. Our team and local citizens are proud to see the cultural significance and beauty of the Thunderbird Lodge, initially built in the late 1930s by Civilian Conservation Corps Company 1743, continue for generations to come.
