On Nov.3, I will be voting for Chuck Basye for my representative in the 47th district. I have personally known Chuck and the Basye family for many years. When... Chuck was first elected representative, I was President of the Harrisburg R-VIII School District School Board. A few days after Chuck was elected he called me and GAVE me his PERSONAL cell phone number. He told me to call or text him with any concerns and I did! That was the first time an elected official gave me their personal cell phone number! Chuck is a Marine, farmer, a believer in Jesus Christ, and a retired air traffic controller. He has received endorsements from a number of institutions and organizations including; Missouri Right to Life, Missouri Cattlemen's Association, National Federation of Independent Businesses (NFIB), Missouri Fraternal Order of Police, Columbia Police Officers Association, National Rifle Association (A+ Rating), and the Missouri Nurses Association. Chuck has received numerous awards that validate his accomplishments. His most recent awards include 2020 Business Champion Award from the Missouri Chamber of Commerce, 2020 Friend of Agriculture Award from the Missouri Farm Bureau, 2019 Health Care Champion (Missouri Health Care for All), 2019 Special Recognition Award from the Missouri Association of County Developmental Disabilites Services, and 2019 Community Partner Award from the ARC of Missouri.
