MSHPBA advocated for its members and the industry this week in multiple virtual visits with Senators and Congressmen in Ohio. We would like to thank Ben Holt from Embers Custom Fireplace & Gas Products, Inc., an HPBA Government Affairs Academy Graduate, for leading these meetings. Ben did a great job advocating for the Wood and Pellet Heater Tax Credit Extension and the Wood Heaters Emissions Reduction Act, two bills that would positively impact our members. We would also like to thank HPBA for setting up this event and for their continued support.

MSHPBA would like to thank John Anghilante, AU Fireplace Group, for testifying today on HB 201 at the House Energy Committee hearing on behalf of the hearth and barbecue industry and small businesses in Ohio. HB 201 will prevent municipalities in Ohio from banning natural gas. Thank you John for all of your help and support on this bill!
