The MCC, partnered with Lifewise STL and Desales Community Development, is hosting a 5 week Zumba class beginning Tuesday, July 30th from 5:30-6:30. Classes will be every Tuesday at the MCC. Don’t forget to mark your calendars for the MCC’s Concert Band Open House, July 23rd and 26th from 6-8pm. 7th-12th graders and their families are invited to drop by either night and try out some instruments, get more information about the program and sign up. . . We are also still in need of Music volunteers and/or musical donations so if you are interested or know anyone interested please check out the MCC’s website and fill out the form.

Messiah Community Center is excited to announce its Youth Concert Band Program for students grades 7th through 12th, beginning this Fall. The program will allow students to develop skills in reading music, playing an instrument, performing with their peers, as well as volunteer hour opportunities. We’re looking for musicians who are willing to volunteer as well as donations of instruments (especially flute, trumpet, saxophone, trombone, tuba, oboe, clarinet or percussion instruments). Musical Open Houses will be held July 23rd and July 26th from 6-8pm for youth to come try out the various instruments and sign up for the band! Hump Day is finally here which means it’s also time for the MCC’s Wednesday evening cooking class. Tonight at 5:30pm join your fellow trainee chefs and prepare a delicious and fast meal. There is no better way to end your Wednesday.
