My heart breaks as another chapter closes in our lives. We say goodbye to our Mom and Dad Metz’s home on Mulberry St in Oran - it has sold and closes today. I think though Mom and Dad would be proud as Gary and Ann Pobst become the loving new owners. Generations of our entire family, extended family and hundreds of Jerome and Wilma Metz’s friends entered through this front door into a loving, warm, fun and joyous home since I believe 1951 or so, when they built it. Celeb...rations of every kind ... holidays (especially Christmas!), weekend gatherings, birthdays and countless more. This was HOME to EVERYONE who entered. Like a magnet, it drew people in. If you were one of those people, you know what I mean. Of course, it was the homeowners who created that magic - who knew how to welcome anyone who wanted to share in food, drink, conversation, a laugh or a cry. Memories I will keep in my heart and cherish forever, as we all will. Thank you, Mom and Dad, for always having your front door open on Mulberry St to all of us. I am especially grateful.
