About a month ago we received a call with our brothers and sisters in need! Thank you to the United Association and their relief fund we got to be apart of helping TX after a snow storm devastated them. There was no material to help fix the damage that was done. Together with the UA, National Sales and many volunteers we drove two UHauls worth of supplies to TX. Being apart of a union is so much more than the everyday job. This is just one small example. #feelgoodmoment

Today we remember Daniel Duke McVey. Please keep the family in your thoughts and prayers.

We are a little late to #worldplumbingday but we celebrate world plumbing day everyday! Our plumbers have been around since 1890 and we’ve been with them since 1999. In our industry it is important we keep up with the many changes, challenges, and opportunities. The last year we have shown just how important plumbing is to not only residential but the commercial world. Hospitals needed us in there from the first shutdown and our members never missed a beat. We are really proud of our nearly 1500 active and retired plumbers! Thanks for going to work each day and making the environment around you safer and cleaner.

Get your toys! Tomorrow is the last day to drop off at STL Shirt Co. and Wednesday is the last day at the office buildings and school. Thanks so much for all those that have donated already!

Together with Corrigan Company Mechanical Contractors we were able to help out Habitat for Humanity of St. Charles County today! These members of ours are working on making two homes in St. Charles safe and ready to be moved into. This time of year is always a little harder but our members as always went above and beyond to take the stress off of others and volunteered their time. Giving back feels good but we are so happy to help- we know that the job will be done right the first time and the families will get the best of the best with us. Thanks to all of you that showed up for our meeting last night. We like to see an increase in numbers and we saw just that. Business Manager John O’Mara and his team want to extend their congratulations to two groups of people that didn’t get their normal celebration this year. 67 new Plumbers and Pipefitters graduated this year. It is amazing to see our graduating classes grow each year, but even better when we have 33 retire in a months time. The demand is there a...nd we are proud of each and everyone of you for 5 years of hard work and determination. We wish you nothing but the best as you continue your career! Lastly, our 77 Life Members (50 years of service) were recognized. These members have paved the way for our current generation. This is the LAST week to pick up remaining Labor Day orders. If you have not picked up please do so by Friday. Those that waited you’re in luck as there are some newly printed hats at the shop.

Last week we had the privilege to celebrate two employees retiring. Maggie in the Health & Welfare office and Jan in the Health Center. We were lucky to have both women in our office for several years. You have both made a big impact and we are thankful to have had you for so long! Jan thank you for being such a big role in moving our Health Center to Earth City. We will miss you and appreciate all your knowledge and care for our members over the last few years. Thank you to the members who got on our virtual Union Meeting. We appreciate all your patience, we appreciate all those that call when they have issues, and for being understanding as to why we have to go virtual rather than in person. Our local is second to none and it’s times like now it is so important to stick together. Without each member this local isn’t what it is today.
