Every day is new record.- Dr. Raghu Adiga, Chief Medical Officer Today, Liberty Hospital staff are caring for 64 COVID inpatients, an increase of 25% in one week. Our ICU is full with 11 COVID patients and other non-COVID. During today’s CMO call hosted by The University of Kansas Health System, Dr. Adiga said, We are doing everything we can with all hands on deck to manage patient flow so we can provide the best care to all patients. If you have COVID symptoms and are un...able to get tested, assume you have it. Seek medical attention if you are sick or have risk factors. Otherwise stay home in isolation and wear a well-fitting surgical mask if you must go out within 10 days. The physical and emotional toll on healthcare workers is unimaginable, Dr. Adiga said, so be kind.

The Breast Care Center At Liberty Hospital recently introduced an ultrafast MRI sequence that provides average-risk women who would benefit from supplemental screening with an affordable alternative to a full-length MRI. The brief 11-minute exam complements not replaces a mammogram and has been shown to detect breast cancers with a high degree of accuracy.
