One year ago tonight, we packed Juanita K. Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts for "It's On!" to announce Missouri State University's Onward, Upward campaign to raise $250 million for students.

#tbt to a few weeks ago, when we hosted students from Springfield Public Schools, Springfield, MO new Academy of Fine & Performing Arts! We had a great time visiting with these 5th graders and exploring the architecture features of our building!

On a nice fall day, you never know when you might catch an impromptu MSU Jazz Studies concert coming from our balcony.

The Springfield Symphony Orchestra MO opens their 2020-2021 season on Saturday! You can now livestream the concert from your very own home click the link below for more info. We hope you'll join us!

Tonight marked the first public performance in our venue in six months. We masked up, limited capacity, socially distanced, listened to an incredible Springfield Symphony Orchestra MO concert, and shed a few happy tears. It’s been a long road, and we still have a ways to go until we are back to presenting a full season of touring shows, but we are thrilled to have music filling our beloved Hall once again. Thank you all for your support and belief in the power of the arts.

We closed out #ArtsEdWeek by giving a tour of the Hall to students from the Springfield Little Theatre Academy. Thanks for visiting us today!

We are celebrating #ArtsEdWeek a little differently this year. Our stage is being used as a choir, band, and orchestra classroom, and our dressing rooms are used for socially distant stage makeup classes. While we miss our shows and audiences, we are glad to have our Hall filled with creative Missouri State University students!
