Howell County Rural Fire District #1

SERIOUS INQUIRIES ONLY. We are looking for a few dedicated Firefighters that want to be a part of a dedicated team. We are accepting applications and interviews will be held soon. No experience required. Must be 18 or over and have a reliable vehicle and valid insurance. We are a paid per call department that has between 700 and 800 calls per year. Happy Easter everyone. We want to take a minute to thank our firefighters for their dedication the past couple of days. We also want to thank Pottersville fire dept for helping us out yesterday. Almost every fire dept in Howell County has had multiple calls the past few days. We have all helped each other out and it takes dedicated personnel to keep things going. If anyone would like to be a part of the fire department in your area I am sure any of the Chief's would be happy to talk to you and have you fill out an application. Our instructors will be teaching a CPR class March 20. If anyone in Emergency Services would like to take this class we do have one opening in our 9AM class and two openings in our 2PM class. Please message us for more information or to sign up for one of the openings.

We have had two promotions in our Department and are looking for at least two more Paid on Call Firefighters. Must live in our service area or the City of West Plains, MO. Must be 18 or over and have a valid drivers license and valid insurance. Must be able to attend trainings and keep up certifications required by our Board of Directors. Must be able to attend calls day or night.
