UPDATE: Julie talked with the Clay Co Health Dept and it is mandatory only for children 10 and older. Recommended for 3 and up. Calm down everyone we will get through this . Porters now has kids masks in case you need one. #positivethinking

Parents Julie needs your help in keeping the staff to child ratio on check. Please try to inform her or your child’s teacher the day before your child will be absent if possible. That away we don’t have teachers driving in just to send them back home. Thanks for your help. We will get through this!

Some are wondering why we are still open...We have several families, like myself, who work in the healthcare industry. We are here to support you, our daycare family. This includes our community, our teachers, our children and our local healthcare. Without these special ladies that are coming in during this scary time, we would have to tell several healthcare, government, and other essential workers that their work is not important to us. That is not true. The Missouri Department of Health is ENCOURAGING us to stay open. This allows the essential people to keep food on our table, our financial institutions open, and so much more. Thank you to our local police, our local grocery stores, our EMT/Firefighters, our healthcare workers and our daycare workers that are coming in day after day to get stuff done!

We at Hand in Hand are going to do our best to stay open during these trying times. We will only shut down if the state says we have to or we get a confirmed case. We will have to do the best we can with the menu as the stores limit us on we are allowed to buy. So please bare with us. And don’t forget we are all in this together. Judy G
