There is an increasing misconception that AZO treats urinary tract infections. I personally have had many patients ( I'm not talking about anyone in particular) that have treated themselves with AZO and yes the symptoms have improved. However they come right back! Azo is used for symptom relief not as a cure. It helps with the pain and the burning sensation you get with UTIs. However it does not treat the bacteria causing the actual problem.
