You are invited to check us out. We'd love to have you visit us at First Christian Church (Disciple of Christ), 401 Cherry Street in Doniphan. We meet for Worship at 11:00 a,m. on Sundays. We are an imperfect bunch of folks but we invite you along as we try to learn to be more like what God would have us to be. We may even be a bit hypocritical at times. We don't mean to be. We're just human. But we're trying to follow the leading of the Holy Spirit and do better. Yo...u might find you'd fit right in! We are a local congregation in the Protestant Tradition. Our faith is based on the Profession of Faith of the first disciples that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, and is Lord and Savior of the World. We receive the Light and Revelation of Holy Scripture, Practice Believers Baptism, Share the Lord's Supper each Sunday, and WELCOME all believers to the Table of Grace as Christ has welcomed us. In covenant with the Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) we understand ourselves to be a worshiping, nurturing, serving and, locally governed community of believers In Christ Jesus, the Head of the Church and as such are part of the UNIVERSAL Church, The Body of Christ,. This much we can tell you without reservation: When we say you are welcome here, we MEAN it! Come see what those crazy Disciples are up to now.
