The varsity girls basketball team’s season is nearing its end and senior Gracie Stugart feels bittersweet. We know things are coming to an end and our time together as a team is limited, Stugart said. However, it gets us motivated knowing nothing is guaranteed and everytime we step on the floor we give it all we got. With another game tonight in state sectionals the girls don’t know whether or not their season will continue, but they’re going into it with a passionate he...art and playing for the game. It’s a new season now. Going into every game looking to go 1-0, no one cares about records anymore, Stugart said. Story by: Tea Perez Photo by: Hannah Bernard See more

As the ice hockey season has progressed this year, the Spartans have been preparing both on their own and as a team to progress this season. Individually, the players work on simple mechanics involving their puck handling, and their individual fitness. As a team they have focused a lot on chemistry and team work to try and make it natural for players to have a connection with each other. Junior Ethan Tieman believes that it is the most important thing for the team to become c...onnected and to find that bond/connection to help make the team finish the season off with polished team chemistry. I think we can work on attitude and chemistry to become better as a team Tieman said. As their season comes to a close, Tieman hopes the Spartans can use their last couple games to finally lock in on the team’s chemistry. Story by: Isaiah Salin Photo by: Riley Wania
