King of the Baggers Friday Report: Indian Off to Fast Start The teams checked in today and in the afternoon the riders got their first rides on the new "Race Baggers." Tyler O'Hara and his S&S Indian team got first day bragging rights with the fastest lap around the 2.238-mile Laguna Seca track. O'Hara's 1 min 37.55 sec lap was 3.8 seconds faster than Vance & Hines H-D rider Hayden Gillim, followed by Frankie Garcia on the Roland Sands Indian, Ben Bostrom on the Feuling Parts H-D, Travis Wyman on the Trask Performance H-D and the others who were getting their new machines sorted out. Just in from our friends at Indian... Indian Motorcycle, America’s First Motorcycle Company, and S&S Cycle have unveiled their final build for the highly anticipated Drag Specialties King of the Baggers race this weekend at Laguna Seca Raceway. Indian Motorcycle and S&S Cycle collaborated to race a modified Indian Challenger that will be piloted by the highly decorated racing champion Tyler O’Hara. Among the teams, in true David and Goliath form, S&S Cycle will be racing o...ne of only two Indian Challengers that are set to face off against a field of Harley-Davidson baggers. Roland Sands Design will be the other team with an Indian Challenger, which will be piloted by Frankie Garcia; final photos to be released soon. The King of the Baggers event will be part of the MotoAmerica Superbike Speedfest at Monterey from Oct 23-25. The race will be a new addition to the premier MotoAmerica HONOS Superbike, Supersport, Liqui Moly Junior Cup, Stock 1000, Twins Cup and Heritage Cup racing. See more
