Community First Bank 30.03.2021

June 25, 2020 Community First Bank has been made aware that an employee at our Butler West branch location tested positive for COVID-19 on June 25, 2020. This employee has not been at the branch since June 19th, 2020 and has been quarantined at home since then. Our employee has given Community First Bank permission to share his story, so that you can be aware of signs and symptoms that you might experience if you have COVID-19. On Sunday, June 14th our employee noticed that h...e was congested, but attributed it to allergies. He never once had a fever or cough while having congestion. His congestion was gone by June 17th, but at that point had no taste or smell. He then scheduled a doctor' s appointment for Friday, June 19th. His doctor ruled out sinus infection or flu, but would not test him for COVID-19 because he still had no fever or cough. The doctor indicated if the employee did not receive his taste or smell back after a period of time, then he needed to go see an ear, nose, and throat doctor. To help determine if he needed to go see an ear, nose, and throat doctor, our employee proactively scheduled an appointment at a COVID drive thru testing facility up in the metro area and was tested on Sunday June 21st. He was told it would take 2-4 days to get those results back, so he notified bank management about the events and it was decided for him to stay home until he received the results. West branch staff were notified of the events, and disinfected the entire branch first thing Monday morning, June 22nd. Our employee received his results June 25th and reported those to management. Management then contacted the health department for guidance on moving forward in the best possible way for our staff, customers, and the community at large. Based on those discussions, Community First Bank has developed the following action plan: Action Plan: o Our Butler West branch will remain open to the public (lobby and window). o Community First Bank will continue providing hand sanitizer to the public and daily cleaning efforts at all branches. o The confirmed positive employee will not return to work at the branch until cleared by CDC guidelines. Management at Community First Bank understands the need for transparency in this matter, and wants you to know that we care about the safety of our employees, customers, and community at large. Please feel free to use our other locations if you do not feel comfortable utilizing the West Branch location. If you feel the need to wear a facemask, please remember that you may be asked to lower the mask for identification purposes. If you have additional comments, questions, or concerns please reach out to the management team at Community First Bank. Sincerely, Management Team
