As of today, our 2017 calving season is over!! And we end of calf crop with another bull calf and this one you can't complain! This is going to be an incredible bull calf, who is just deep and has tons of muscle and is just a day old! His dam is the mother of the bred heifer we sold this last year at the Missouri Opportunity Sale. She has produced some great calves and we believe this little guy is going to be the future of Circle R Cattle Co.

We are trying something different this year and as a family, we are thrilled about this experience. We are excepting some Hereford fall calves to be calved until second week of October. We have one fall bull calve as of now, but expecting one more in October. They are both out of our Bullwinkle bull. Brings that total to 13 bulls this year with a couple out of Cracker Jack and one out of Score and Mr. Red and the rest out of Bullwinkle. Might be seeing us next show season being bull-loaded in the show-ring!

What a year 2017 was for Circle R!!! We have accomplished numerous amounts of achievements this spring and summer! We've had numerous amounts of class winners and a few Grand and Reserve Overalls and divisions. To recap this show season, Dalton received 3rd in cattle evaluation and 4th in senior Showmanship which placed in top 5 at the Salers Junior Nationals this year in Mississippi! We are excited to see what next year has in store for Circle R!!

We are very excited to announce that Dalton placed in the top 6 in both Senior Showmanship and Cattle Judging at the 2017 ASJA Salers Junior Nationals Banquet!! 3rd place Senior Division Cattle Judging and 4th place Senior Division Showmanship!

Today was the 2017 Salers Junior National Showmanship and Dalton made it to the Senior Division Final Drive and was a Top 10 finisher out of 40 seniors! We will see if Dalton was placed in either the top 2 or top 6 tomorrow night at banquet!

Decided to get a new set of table and chairs for the cattle shows!! They came in just right in time for the Salers Junior Nationals in Mississippi this weekend!!

Beautiful day!!! We are really excited about this years set of calves!! We are really pouring the feed on them for the state fair! We have 4 REALLY good AI bull calves out of Cracker Jack, Score and Mr. Red along with a couple of nice heifers!

Wonderful day to remove some tree limbs from the fences! We're gonna rebuild this whole fence this spring! This is just one of MANY loads of tree limbs! Trying to make Circle R to be one of the nicest farm facility!!

Here's the backdrop picture from the Mizzou Steer and Stripes show a few weeks ago!! She won both her classes in the AGR and the Block and Bridle show!! It's early in the year, but she will look great coming this summer. March heifer from Illinois out of Crane Test of Time

The "bright" future begins with these two!!... This was taken 3 weeks ago so they are getting big and looking really nice. The (Mr. Red) bull calf's dam on the left is our Izzy cow that we purchased from Toothacres and the one on the right, a Score bull calf, is a first calf out of a first year cow who is a daughter out of our Izzy cow. These two are going to be fun to work with, you'll see them at the Missouri State Fair!! Watch out around the end of 2017 or early 2018... we might have some bull calves to offer and sale! We have a couple of Bullwinkle bull calves (Feb/Mar) and two February Cracker Jack bull calves, who might have a strong future besides the two in the picture! I see a bright future with all of the bull calves we have!

Checking on all of our bull calves before the snow storm. 80% of our calf crop right now are bulls, which is not a bad thing at all!! Maybe we got something up our sleeve for the Mo State Fair this coming summer and maybe Denver?!?! But looks like they are having some fun on this cold day!
