Home Sales and Refi's are on the Rise with low interest rates. Homebuyer mortgage demand spikes to an 11-year high, as rates hit another record low. (Mortgage Bankers Assn--June 17) Mortgage applications to purchase a home, a leading indicator of residential real estate activity, rose 4% last week and were a remarkable 21% higher than one year ago, according to the Mortgage Bankers Association.
