If you’re heading to a trout park this weekend for opening day of #MOTrout season, consider buying your fishing permit and daily trout tags in advance. Permits can be purchased online and from numerous vendors around the state; daily trout tags can be purchased at state parks concession stores. Willy's Words for Wednesday:

Per Joel Topham, Park Manager, clean your fish on the riverbank, throw fish remains into deep water. Don’t throw fish remains in the trash. The new fish cleaning station is being built at the end of Campground #3. However, it will not be completed in time for opening day. Same process as last summer and fall.

From Roaring River State Park....This year, due to COVID and social distancing, we’ve decided to open the Park Store early to try to control the crowds a bit better. We will open the store on Feb. 27 at 1:00pm thru 9:00pm. Then we will open the store on Feb 28 at 9:00am and not close until Mon evening on Mar 1st. Thank you all, be safe and have a great opening day!
