LET ME START BY SAYING I LOVE ALL MY GREAT CUSTOMERS! So im not afraid to say it. we had a person today say they would not recommend anyone to our shop. Of course many of you are great and wonderful customers and have shown support for my shop as we grow each year. this guy had a appointment for a diagnostic. then claims we hand wrote a appointment on a paper estimate form for him to come back in when we had to track down parts from ford for his car not knowing what day they... would come in. Claims appointment was a week after the date of his diagnostic appointment and he took the car home. so he got a free diagnostic from us. He then proceeded to call daily after dropping his car off. His wife also called a few times and got rude with my office personal. When he came in today he was rather rude with me, sure i was already having a bad day healthwise due to my colitis acting up. plus being short a mechanic after our war vet mechanic has been a no call no show for the week. so i have been trying to do some work in the shop again. We did tell him we would try to get his car worked in. And we were trying to get to it as well. As he went to leave he did mouth off about the shop and how he wouldn't be back. to which he did get a reply that good don't come back your being an a hole. im so glad that most of you guys are wonderful and will set appointments with us and follow those appointments and do understand when we have issues like being short handed or being behind cause something didn't go as plan as very often happens in the automotive world. but as always theres ten of you waiting to get in behind the one person that says they will never be back. and we always stand behind our work. and you guys. my great custs are part of why i still keep this shop going rather then walk away when people like a upset person who didnt have a appointment gets mad and tells everyone how bad we are because we didnt drop our already rush jobs to get to his rush job when we have 10 other rush jobs waiting as well. so thank you all my wonderful customer's for the years of love and support! couple nice rides from this past week. one getting ac system installed. other just getting charged.

Yes we are open and booking. ac special going on for the summer. 49.95 includes drain refill leak test. etc. all for 49.95. Joplin says we gotta have masks. personally i say its your choice. but hey our mechanic Donnie was sporting his McDonalds mask at work today.

Went cruzin main tonight and picked up Shannon Becker with Joplin news first and made a lap around main with him.

Now I'm a couple days late. But I told myself that I need to at least post a monthly pic update of where I'm at on the 55 Benz. This past month I bought new rental property so I was mostly busy with that. But we did get the hood off. And we did get the engine to turn over so thank God it's not froze up which means rebuilding it will be much simpler. Also cleaned out a chunk is the opossum nest that was under the hood. And located needed missing parts. Hoping this month to move her over a little in the garage. Get her sitting higher. And pull all the doors. Fenders. Trunk. Etc off the car and stored out of the way till later. And maybe strip the interior and other parts off to. Going all the way to a bare unibody.

So my newest longer term project. A 1955 Mercedes benz 220a which will get a full complete restore. And will be a wedding car available to rent through our sister company Joplin Limousine. I picked it up this weekend and already looking for the couple missing parts. yes she looks a mess right now. but shes 95 % there and complete. the last pic is of a restored one in about the color im considering painting this old girl. will try to post a monthly update pic.

Got a few more of the old ford parts sand blasted and coated in epoxy paint. Been working on it in my spare time. Need to get her done up where were doing a disk brake conversion to it. got 5 more pieces to sandblast and paint before I start on the frame of the truck itself. but that time is coming soon. :) gotta make room for a long term project of my own.

Its tax time guys. And everyone either buys new cars or fixes their old rides. Well im here to help with both! If your buying a new to you car, we do Missouri state inspections for $12 and give you free 2 years of roadside assistance! On your repairs, we have the lowest shop rate in Joplin at $45 per hour. Yes we check everyone else out and have found $65 to $105 a hour for shop rates at normal mechanics! dealers are even higher.... WE do not mark up parts like other shops do either Plus you get free roadside for two years and a 2 year 24k mile parts and labor warranty on repairs.

HOPEFULLY. a lot of you guys seen out post. Our sister company, Joplin limousine, will be giving away a free limo ride. There is a chili feed at the Joplin fire station 1. Downtown. Got us a shout out from one of our carlots when we swung in with the limo. dropping a car off to their lot we had fixed before heading to lick up a cust in need of a ride to our shop to get her own car. all just another day of fun for us here at allans auto repair, and Joplin limousine. need a good car. go hit up the guys at best buy here in Joplin.

NOTICE!. As of jan 1st 2020. our labor rate will go up to $45 a hour from $40 in order to allow me to give my guys a pay raise. I had wanted to stay at $40 and not go above that. But since so many people voted to raise our minimum wage in Missouri. Well. Most don't understand that the cost of everything else also has to follow. And for me to stay competitive on wage for my help I feel I will have to gradually over the next couple years work my way up to $50 per hour. With that being said.
